Yaqeen Ka Safar actor Ahad Raza Mir is all set to make a big leap in his acting career by getting his hands on a major Hollywood project.
According to international media reports, he has roped in Netflix’s Original web series Resident Evil.
“Popular South Asian-Canadian actor Ahad Raza Mir has been cast in Netflix original series “Resident Evil,” Variety has confirmed.
Netflix has not yet revealed details of the character Mir will be playing in the series,” Variety reported.
The actor also shared the big news with his fans in an Instagram post.
Resident Evil is a sci-fiction action-horror film series based on the Japanese video game franchise of the same name as Capcom. The show will stream on Netflix from July 14.
Ahad Raza Mir is the son of popular PTV actor, Asif Raza Mir. He debuted in the television industry with Hum TV’s show Sammi. However, the romantic drama Yaqeen Ka Safar made him a star. The actor’s on-screen chemistry with Sajal Aly was praised by all and sundry.
The two later appeared in the Zee5 web series Dhoop Ki Deewar.
Mir has been busy filming a comedy series for Hum TV titled ‘Hum Tum’ alongside Ramsha Khan and Sarah Khan.
He is also co-producing a Greece-set thriller film starring a mainstream Pakistani female actress in the lead role.
On an international level, he has earned a reputation of a seasoned theatre performer. In Canada, he played Tybalt in “Romeo and Juliet” (2014) and Lennox in “Macbeth” (2015). He also played the title role in “Hamlet: A Ghost Story” (2019), all for The Shakespeare Company. His interpretation of Hamlet won him Canada’s Betty Mitchell Award for outstanding performance by an actor.
