Amar Khan draws inspiration from ‘Fifty Fifty’ and ‘Sona Chandi’ for Ramadan serial Janjalpura

Actor cum writer Amar Khan latest project, Janjalpura is expecting to have a vibe of 80s iconic comedy programs, Fifty Fifty and Sona Chandi. The actress reveled it in a recent interview.

Amar Khan while giving a glimpse into her character, Heer Jatt, stated that she is more of a vibe than a character.

‘Heer is someone who dreams big and is not limited by the circumstances she is in. She is an active tiktoker who brings her own sensation and vibrancy to social media, and is purely the character of a Punjabi Juttni with her audacity,” the actress stated.

When asked about the storyline, she couldn’t reveal too much but said that she is drawing inspiration from popular situational comedies from the golden era of 80s like Fifty Fifty, Sona Chandi, and Uncle Urfi for her upcoming drama. She intends to bring in a mix of romance, conflicts, and engaging parodies with pop culture references that will cater to a wide audience.

Janjalpura is produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi of 7th Sky Entertainment and directed by Saima Waseem. It will air on Geo Television in Ramadan. Janjalpura promises to be a unique and engaging drama with Amar Khan taking on the dual role of lead actor and writer, an impressive cast, and an engaging storyline. With Ramadan around the corner, audiences are eagerly waiting to see what Heer Jatt has in store for them.

Amar Khan is a Pakistani television actress, director and writer. She has played a role of Neelofur in 2018 super natural series Belapur Ki Dayan. Some of her other prominent drama serials included Ghughi, Dil-e-Bereham, Choti Choti Batain and Dil-e-Gumshuda.
