Ramadan 2023: 4 Pakistani Dramas You Don’t Want to Miss Out

Ramadan is approaching and we can’t wait to watch our favorite stars gracing our small screens in dramas focusing on family values, romance, and entertainment.

Here we have jotted down four Pakistani dramas that are on our watch list all this season!

Chand Tara (HUM TV): Starring Ayeza Khan and Danish Taimoor

The real-life couple Ayeza Khan and Danish Taimoor are gracing our screens in a witty script written by Hum TV’s staple writer for Ramadan Saima Chaudhry. Directed by Danish Nawaz it is one of the most anticipated projects of the Ramadan season.

The teasers of the drama have already been out – giving a little insight into the life of an educated couple with conflicting ideologies. Danish plays a software engineer and is fed up with a joint family setup but his wife likes to live in the setup where life thrives in the company of uncles, aunts, dada, and dadi. The story looks relatable for many young couples of today’s age – and we hope it gets executed very well on the screen too.

The cast of the drama also stars Romaisa Khan, Aashir Wajahat, Adnan Jaffar, Saba Faisal, Behroze Sabzwari, Madiha Iftikhar, and Rehan Sheikh.

Janjalpura (Geo Entertainment): Starring Imran Ashraf and Amar Khan

Dum Mustam stars Imran Ashraf and Amar have reunited for Geo Television’s Ramadan special serial, Janjalpura. It is written by Amar Khan and directed by Saima Waseem. The drama is full of Punjabi flavours and is expected to showcase the beauty of Punjabi culture to the core.

The teasers of the drama have been out – introducing Imran Asharaf as Gali ka Romeo Hero Butt and Amar Khan as the mesmerising Tiktok star Heer Jatt.

The cast features Usman Peerzada, Kashif Mehmood, Afzal Khan Rambo, Waseem Abbas, Ismat Iqbal, Naseem Vicky, Muneeza Arif, Rahim Pardesi, Ahsan Khan, Kinza Malik, Haim Khan.

Fairy Tale (Hum TV): Starring Adnan Raza Mir and Aena Khan

Asif Raza Mir’s younger son Adnan Raza Mir is making his debut with this Hum TV drama titled Fairy Tale. The drama is targeted at youngsters and features fresh faces such as Aena Khan, Sehar Khan, and Hamza Sohail. The drama’s plot revolves around the love story of two young couples and how their relationship develops over time.

The drama encompasses a wide range of emotions, including family drama, romance, and a dash of comedy. The two couples perfectly balance each other out, with one using a subtle expression to declare their love and the other engaging in constant banter. The cast also includes Ali Safina, Saleem Sheikh, Salma Hasan, Tehseen Wajahat, Hina Rizvi, and Saman Ansari in pivotal roles.

Rukhmah Roshan (Geo Entertainment): Starring Muneeb Butt and Komal Meer

The lovely pair of Muneeb Butt and Komal Meer has impressed us in Geo TV’s popular serial Qalendar and they are coming back to create the same magic in Rukhmah Roshan. Samra Bukhari wrote the script and Zeeshan Ahmed directed it. The story of the drama unfolds around a guy and a girl who are completely at odds with each other but eventually fall in love. Will they accept their fate and their love for one another, or will their egos take control? This is yet to be determined.

The cast of the drama includes Mehmood Aslam, Shamim Hilaly, Salman Shahid, Laiba Khan, Saleem Mairaj, Sidra Niazi, Hira Soomro, Suqaynah Khan, Zain Afzal, Zainab Qayoom, Rashid Farooqui, Ali Khan, Sadaf Aashan, Mani, Ayat Arif, Aisha Khan, Hermain Ghalib, Sami Khan, and Aadi Khan.
