Pakistan’s new age revenge thriller, Carma, has everything that keeps you at the edge of your seat – from a full-throttle action sequence to a high-profile kidnap that involves gunshots and blood.
Directed by Kashan Admani and written by Fawad Hai the film features seasoned actors like Adnan Siddiqui, Osama Tahir, Paras Masroor, Navin Waqar, Zhalay Sarhadi, Umer Aalam, Arjumand Rahim, Khaled Anam, Lili Caseley, Vajdaan Shah, Emaan Khan, and Anum Gauhar.
The trailer of the film has just come out and it has raised our expectations with incredible cinematography by Farhan Golden who did an amazing job in making the film look like any great Hollywood venture.
The two and half minute long teaser has several moments that hold our attention. It features Osama Tahir as a rich businessman who got kidnapped by a gang led by a badass snazzy girl with bold red lips, wonderfully played by Zhalay Sarhadi. It also stars Navin Waqar as a badly spoiled daughter of Khaled Anam.
The trailer also gives us a glimpse of seasoned actor Adnan Siddiqui as a dil pheek flirt. Sang-e-Mar Mar actor Paras Masroor also makes a notable presence as an important member of the kidnapping gang.
According to filmmakers, the film title is wisely chosen to play on the word ‘Karma’ as it has a unique screenplay shot entirely in and around Cars.
The film aims to touch several on sensitive topics including child labor, adultery, women empowerment, pedophilia, betrayal, and greed while maintaining a riveting revenge thriller feel.
Overall, the trailer looks intriguing and we are looking forward to the film release which hasn’t been announced yet.
