Aima Baig is not happy with Pak Fest organisers as they use “her name” to promote concert but holds her payment

Washmallay singer Aima Baig has criticised the Pak Fest organisers who uses her name to promote their upcoming event in Lahore but hasn’t cleared artist’s payment yet.

The singer took to Instagram to record her rant.

“I’m writing this note to express my disappoint[ment] here regarding using my name for ticket selling after non payment of my services,” she wrote.

The event was held at the Khayaban-e-Amin Cricket Stadium in Lahore. This was the second year the event was being held. The singer clearly mentioned in the post that organisers were using her picture without paying her for her work. She also shared a picture of the ticket featuring Aima Baig along with other singers including Ali Zafar, Kaifi Khalil, Faizan FBR, 3 TAAL and Soleh Rehman.

The singer also wrote the she felt bad for her fans who bought tickets to see her. “I’m very disappointed due to this non-professional behaviour and [defamation], as people who love and watch my concert[s] bought the ticket[s] and I didn’t join due to payment issue,” she said.

No clarification has been issued by Pak Fest organisers so far. It is not the first time a performer has openly criticised a festival or concert promoter. HLast year, Hasan Raheem sent a notice to the organisers of Lahore’s Musik Fest for failing to pay him in advance.
