Charity minded Komal Rizvi and international music legends Fuzon are making music for a good cause: special education.
Rizvi may have gone viral for all the wrong reason after she took an unfortunately timed selfie with her hero Abdul Sattar Edhi but she has not taken a step back from supporting good causes. The singer is set to be performing live at the Beach Luxury in Karachi for the SCEI Spring Festival which will help generate funds for educating special students.
“I am so excited and honoured to be performing for the SCEI cause,“ Rizvi said encouraging fans to come to the festival. “They are doing awesome work.”
Komal Rizvi will perform on Feb 27th and Fuzon will be on the stage on Feb 28th at the SCEI Spring Festival.
The festival is the brainchild of founder and principal of the school Saima Haq who began SCEI from her home 20 years ago.
A not for profit fundraiser the SCEI Spring Festival is held to build the Special Children Educational Institutes fund for disadvantaged children. As the school’s first major festival, marking SCEI’s 20 years of service the community has come together to support the cause of special education.
The weekend festivities are the hallmark of old school Karachi life: a seaside picnic with live music and traditional games.
