Renowned actor Imran Abbas is all set to host a one-of-its-own-kind music show, “Raat Chali Hai Jhoom Ke” on national television.
Directed by the ace music composer Khawaja Najam-ul- Hasan, the show will pay tribute to the music legends of subcontinent – from K L Sehgal, Abida Parveen, Musarrat Nazir, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan to many others.
Imran Abbas while talking about his latest venture that he is thrilled for hosting such a classy show.
“I’m really excited for it and it is something I wants to do since the day I joined showbiz. I have been grown up listening to these golden voices and fortunately, now, I have got a chance to share a stage with them – this is something incredible and I am really looking forward to it ” he said.
He also added that the show will not pay tribute to artists of a bygone era but many of legendary singers will also make a special appearance in the show.
“We have contacted several yesteryear singers who were out of music scene for quite some time to make a comeback into music through this program – and they have agreed to it. You get to hear the golden voices of some legendary singers of Indo-Pak subcontinent including Nayyar Noor, Musarrat Nazir, Tina Sani, Tahira Syed and many others,” he added.
So far the show is in the pre-production phase and its shooting is likely to start after Muharram.
Khawaja Najam-ul-Hasan has been behind many successful plays including Taansain and Tarannum.
