‘Jannat Se Aagay’ director Haseeb Hasan slams drama critics for ‘Biased Reviews’

The director of Geo TV’s currently on-aired drama serial, Jannat Se Aagay, Haseeb Hasan is not happy with whatever has said on News 24 popular drama reviews based show, Kya Drama Hai.

Actor turned drama critic, Nadia Khan, said on the show that she got offended every time Jannat Se Aagay as it showed ‘real life incidents’ of many renowned morning show hosts. She said that it was ‘uncomfortable experience’ seeing the image of morning show hosts tarnished so badly.

She said that a documentary could be made on their lives but doing an entire serial based on the lives of the morning show host was uncalled for.

Rubina Ashraf found the story repetitive, a bit of his portion inspired by Shah Rukh Khan’s film, Fan.  She was disappointed with the unnecessarily stretched episodes.

Contrary to above mentioned critics, Marina Khan loved the direction, the usage of vibrant colours and had hopes that it would turn out to be an interesting watch in the coming weeks.

Responding to her statement, the director of Jannat Se Aagay published a post on his social media platform where he said that the celebrities on TV and social media have power to shape people’s mind but they wield it carelessly. He  stated, “Celebrities hired to play paid critics on television show must deliver intelligent analysis and constructive critique while adhering to ethical standards.”
